What's Happening Now...

Bored? What's bored? I'm always busy!
Having finally finished The Shop on the Corner by the talented Joanne Creed, my fellow writers' group member, author Megan Higginson, and I are finally putting into action our long-discussed plan to co-create Megan's story "Raymund and the Fear Monster". I have ferociously coveted the job of illustrating this one, as the message is so true and practical. Inspired by the children Megan met while volunteering in a Philippine orphanage, it teaches that being courageous isn't about feeling brave, but stepping out when you don't.
As a special needs teacher, I am excited about a children's book that actually teaches proven strategies for managing anxiety in a book which (I PROMISE!!!) will not look like a community health brochure.
