Besides illustrating kids' (and the odd grown up's) picture books, I work as a special education teacher, squawk away at my violin, plant giant sunflowers, cook odd hippy dishes with garden weeds, write crazy stories and, in general, indulge in every manner of artyfartiness available at my fidgety little fingertips!
Having been this artyfarty since birth, it has been the general consensus of medical experts that there is nothing can be done. This is... a permanent state of being. School was agony- I still have old school reports with angry comments such as “it is impossible to read Ester's work as it is covered in scribbles!” (This is still an issue, by the way- I now have beautifully illustrated bills!) Between illustrating for others, I am creating my own fantasy novel. It's a slow but steadily growing project in which I am able to inject every oddball and eccentric idea. I can't wait to finish the first complete draught and start illustrating! Some of my art is now for sale on clothes, posters and household items at my Redbubble shop.
