The making of The Shop on the Corner
The Shop on the Corner was a bit of an experiment for me, and I went to town with the proces.
To help with perspective, I made a cardboard model of the magic shop. It was heaps of fun, and very, very messy! In one chocolate fuelled frenzy, my friends and I went crazy, building little cardboard shoebox-sized houses, until I ended up with an entire village... which is nuts, considering that I live in a literal shoebox already!!! I then put tiny lights inside them, propped up a lamp to provide the angle of moonlight, and clicked away with my camera.
